About UsWe are a non-profit, Christian ministry providing an atmosphere where each child feels loved and accepted for who he is – a special person created by God. Classroom experiences are interpreted in ways consistent with a Christian atmosphere, but children of all faiths are welcome! The Climbing Tree began in 2001 as a ministry at The Woodlands United Methodist Church, but in 2005 TWUMC elected to close the Climbing Tree. The staff and the 100+ enrolled families believed the ministry was providing a unique service to the community, so they joined together to carve out a solution to keep the ministry alive. Through the efforts of many and led by God’s hand, The Climbing Tree was formally adopted as a vital ministry at Christ Church United Methodist and relocated to the current facility on the church's campus. Now entering our 5th year in our new home, The Climbing Tree is stronger than ever and has expanded class offerings to include 2 new infant rooms and a successful summer camp program for school aged children. |
Our Director
I met my husband Corey while attending college and we have been happily married for the past 15 years. We have two amazing daughters Shannon 14 and Kerry 12. My husband is an Engineer and received a great job opportunity here in TX so we decided to go for it! We never thought we would leave NY but we are so happy we did. We have been here for 4 years now and we love it! When I am not working or spending time with my family I love to read, write, scrapbook and attend various workshops pertaining to the childcare industry. I also have experience working with children on the Autism spectrum and find working with them extremely rewarding! |
